Malibu Rum Just Released a Watermelon Flavor That’s Basically a Passport to a Tropical Island
There’s something about Malibu Rum that just makes you feel like it’s summer. Actually, that something is the fact that it’s a Caribbean rum with natural coconut flavor that happens to taste amazing when mixed with fruity juices. Now you’ll really feel like you’re on vacation with the new Watermelon flavor.
Malibu has a way of low-key dropping new flavors without make a big deal out of it — like it did with its strawberry-flavored rum last year — which means we get to be surprised when it turns up in the liquor store. Although it’s only February, we’re getting in summer mode with the watermelon variety that appears to have begun popping up on shelves last month.
As you’d expect, Malibu Watermelon (21% ABV) blends the coconut rum with watermelon flavor. The result is a fresh taste that will instantly transport you to an island. Is it happy hour yet?
